Seven of us stopped in here on a Sunday at 1:30 in October, and every single one of us had a great experience! Given the time of our visit (off season) the place was not all that busy. The place is small and full of character. The kitchen is visible from the seating area so you are able to watch the owner/chef Bob (yes I said chef, not cook, there's a difference) make the magic happen. Different games were playing on a couple TV'S around the bar, but not in an annoying way. He's a fan of a team that's up the road a bit (I guess if I have to find a fault with him, it would have to be that, lol). His team was winning so he was in a good mood. We were seated and instantly greeted by Chris, who was going to be our waiter. Right off the bat his professionalism, maners, and super friendly humorous character was evident. He knew pretty much everything about the whole menu. He answered questions on what something was and how it was prepared. When he didn't have an answer on one thing (whether or not they had hot chocolate) he replied very honestly and with a bit of humor saying he was new there and would immediately check and that "they would find out together!"
Great food and excellent service. Off the beaten path but well worth. Much better experience than any chain restaurant!
Absolute favorite for brunch! Food is always amazing, and cocktails are equally well thought out & well made. Staff is always friendly and spot on with their service. Highly recommended!
This place was wonderful and delicious! It was an upscale dining experience but we didn't feel underdressed in nice jeans and sandles. Our waiter was Chris and he was incredible. Very attentive and described the dishes like a romance novel ;o) My husband had the meat trio with prime rib, chicken and crab cake. He loved it! I had the meatloaf special which was also delicious. The best part of our dinner were how yummy the sides were. Good salad, rolls, carrots, sweet potato mash, mushrooms and crispy potatoes. We were too full for dessert but they do offer them. Something to look forward to! Prices are high but you get a lot of food!
Great food! Seafood, steaks, and soups are amazing. Big portions. Good service and atmosphere.
They did have it! He was always checking on us to see if we needed anything and if everyone was happy. I'm 47 and have been to a lot of restaurants, and he is one of the best I've encountered. Now for the food... one word... awesome! Chef Bob has a lot of items that were distinctly his own recipe. Most of us had something from the breakfast portion of the menu because the items names and descriptions were to good not to try. Everything, and I mean everything, was perfect! The only thing I didn't do was lick the plate, and I was tempted to do that! As we were all finishing our plates, Bob came over to introduce himself and check to see how everything was. That to me is a true sign that he has a passion for what he does. That's a man with great character! He said I was more than welcome to lick the plate, that he would take that as a compliment. So if you are in the area and are looking for a unique dinning experience, without a doubt, stop in and check out this place, you won't be disappointed. I'm coming back!!!
