The food is amazingly good and very authentic. The beverages are equally so. But the service is why we keep coming back. 'Family owned and operated' is something you hear a lot, but this family invites you in and makes you part of theirs. Rare is the restaurant that can truly make you feel like you're home through sheer friendliness alone. I can't wait to go back!
After a great Sunday at Conowingo Dam with the bald eagles - had early dinner here with friends (only 8 mile drive from Conowingo). Very friendly and attentive staff - nice atmosphere and terrific authentic food from the salad plate to the dessert tray (not to mention the beer selection). Hope to return soon!

My family and I went there for we thought would be a nice family night out. I was so wrong! The service was horrible and the waitresses were so ignorant. It was a filthy place! The tables are sticky, the menus were sticky, the floor was dirty, the wall looked like there was something on it Maybe food from the previous customers? Not to mention I decided to get a beer and the glass was spotty and dirty and my wife and her friend got a wine and the glass was dirty. The beer was flat i asked for a new one and I could hear the waitresses talking behind our backs about the customers. When i walked by to go to the bathroom they were just standing there laughing and talking about the other customers. The "older" waitress was so rude and very nasty . The "owner" i guess she was the meanest woman i ever seen. If i worked for these people i would quit and report them! I will be calling the health department on them. I will also be reporting them about how they treat their employees all i heard was yelling. When our food came that was another situation it was cold and runny, I asked to have it changed and remade it only took about 30 min and it came out looking like it was under a heat lamp. Save your money and time DO NOT GO TO THE RESTAURANT they are disgusting oh and don't let me forget the mice i saw!!!!
Always excellent food with excellent service. The owners are authentic Bavarians that bring their taste of home in a wonderful restaurant. The beer selection is extensive and filled with beers that are hard to find at the local liquor stores. One of my personal favorites.
